7th International Conference on Information Society and Techology will be held on Kopaonik, Serbia on Mar 12-15, 2017.

The main objective of the conference is to provide a platform for ICT oriented researchers and practitioners from all over the world to present their research results and development activities, to exchange experiences and new ideas, to discuss challenges, and to establish business or research relations for future collaboration.

This year's ICIST special focus is at Internet-of-Things.

All accepted papers will be published in ICIST digital repository. Past editions of the online proceedings can be viewed here: ICIST2014ICIST2015ICIST2016. Online proceedings will be submitted to CEUR repository. The authors of the best, relevant papers will be invited to submit their extended versions to the thematic Special Issues of Enterprise Information Systems journal (Taylor&Francis, IF2015:2.269) and Facta Universitatis Series of Mechanical Engineering (indexed in SCOPUS and many other databases, classified as M24, according to the Ministry of education, science and technological development of Republic of Serbia).

ICIST Conference series is one of the top IT scientific events in the region, with 50-100 papers presented each year, average of 200 participants per edition, attended also by the number of IT industry representatives in the region. It hosts distinguished scientists keynotes (in past years, we were honored to share the stage with Richard Mark Soley, Orri Erling, Howard Moskowitz, Bran Selić and others), scientific sessions, panel discussions, industry presentations with exciting social programme for motivated and successfull networking.

** ICIST2017 Conference topics

Internet of Things (IoT) has attracted attention of major players in industrial landscape and it is currently one of the most expected emerging technologies. According to the 2015's Gartner's Hype Cycle for Internet of Things, IoT is currently at the "peak of inflated expectations". The development of IoT is also driven by the need to facilitate machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity, which is emerging at unprecedented rate. Machina Research predicts that M2M connections will rise from two billion in 2012 to 12 billion in 2020. Cisco values IoT market to 19 trillion USD. According to the same source, only 0.6% of the physical objects the potential candidates for IoT are currently connected. Different sources refer to estimated 50 billion objects online on 2020.

Is your work in any way related to this upcoming perfect tech storm? Do not miss the opportunity to have everybody know about it. Even if its not, you may still take on some of our standard topics of interest, as listed below.
